Everyone Has the Right

(Launched 2008 and ran until 2013)

Everyone Has the Right (formerly known as the Protect the Human competition) was a scheme ice&fire ran for five years (2008-2013) in conjunction with Amnesty International UK to encourage writers exploring human rights stories.

Read an article about the scheme by our patron Steve Waters in the Guardian.

Successful scripts included S-27 by Sarah Grochala, Fiji Land by Nick Gill and After the Accident by Julian Armistead – all of which were championed by ice&fire and picked up for full productions by other companies.

This scheme has now grown into an Artists-in-Residence initiative.
