We can perform at any time across the UK and normally perform in non-traditional venues, such as town halls, community spaces, workplaces, conference rooms, schools and universities. We ask organisations booking a performance to ensure there is an audience of at least 50 people. If your audience is likely to be smaller than this, please let us know and we can discuss alternatives.
A huge variety of organisations all over the UK (and internationally) have hosted our performances since the project launched in 2006. Some examples include Student Action for Refugees, Barrow Cadbury Trust, Save the Children, British Red Cross, European Council on Refugees and Exiles, Housing Justice, several local councils and NHS Trusts, Southbank Centre, The Cooperative Membership, The UK Border Agency, Index on Censorship, English PEN, The Association of Charitable Foundations, The Commonwealth Secretariat, as well as multiple schools, universities and church, community and campaigning groups.
In order to ensure that we can continue to bring our work at no charge to unfunded groups around the country, we ask that funded organisations make a contribution, where possible. Depending on your level on income, our suggested contributions are outlined below:
Income | Travel costs | Meal | Donation |
---|---|---|---|
No income | ✓ | ✓ | ✘ |
Under £75,000 | ✓ | ✓ | £175 |
£75,000 - £200,000 | ✓ | ✓ | £350 |
£200,000 - £500,000 | ✓ | ✓ | £550 |
£500,000 | ✓ | ✓ | £850 |
Travel costs will vary depending on location and whether there are network members living locally. If your group has no way of covering this cost, it can usually be covered by asking audience members for a donation after the performance.
