How it Works
Writers are invited to submit theatre scripts that they believe fulfil the aim of Everyone Has the Right. Feedback will be provided by a member of the iceandfire team to the writer on how effective the play is in terms of theatricality, dialogue and characterisation as well as whether it successfully fulfils the brief of exploring a human rights story.
The best plays will receive professional rehearsed readings at Amnesty International UK’s central London Human Rights Action Centre or a partner theatre. Those writers that we feel would benefit from longer term development will be paired with a dramaturg for more in-depth work on their script.
We cannot accept scripts by email or fax. Plays from outside of the UK are welcome but we are only able to report on new plays, that have not been professionally produced, written in English. A cover sheet must be included with your script.
