Listen to Me
True stories from marginalised children around the world.
In collaboration with Save the Children and Every Child, iceandfire has created a testimony- based script exploring the impacts of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) on children and young people around the world.
Listen to Me was launched at a special performance at the Unicorn Theatre, London, on November 16 2009, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Convention.
Video excerpts from the launch are now available on Youtube.
The script presents a diversity of response to the UNCRC, detailing the positive difference the convention has made as well as the instances where it has not protected the rights of children and young people. The testimonies included in the script will be from young people in India, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Malawi, Guyana, Cambodia, Brazil, Colombia, Wales and Mongolia.
You can find educational resources and information on EveryChild’s website.
