iceandfire work with young people, in schools, colleges and community settings across the UK to deepen their understanding of our work and develop personal engagement with the stories that we tell.

We create plays specifically for younger audiences, with Separated and Bind seen by over 5000 students in schools across London. We also deliver a range of Education workshops, based on our Actors for Human Rights scripts tailoring, to suit the needs of each group.

Exploring the links between human rights and the hotly contested MMR debate, Bind poses the question, ‘What duties does an individual have to their community?’

Year 11. GCSEs. Then what? Daniel’s from London (but his dad’s from Ghana), Amanullah’s from Afghanistan (but he lives in London). They’re both 15 and that’s where the similarity ends. Or is it? Once they start putting things together they realise that just because they’re not the same doesn’t mean they’re different.

iceandfire’s first play for young people, Separated, emerged from a series of drama workshops run with young refugees and unaccompanied minors.

True stories from marginalised children around the world.

In collaboration with Save the Children and Every Child, iceandfire has created a testimony- based script exploring the impacts of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) on children and young people around the world.

N.B. As this script is performed by nine young actors, it is not available upon request through Actors for Human Rights. The script is available to anyone who would like to use it via the link on the right. However, if your organisation can afford to pay for a performance, please get in touch.
