Feb 7 Envision Human Rights Project - Leeds, Prince Henry Grammar School, Otley. The students are doing a project on Afghanistan. Regional Director gave a presentation and interactive workshop about issue-based research, attitudes to race and culture, facts and stats about refugees and experiences of people seeking asylum in the UK. 6th Form students then did a reading of selected extracts from OACD.
Feb 6 Drama workshop – Sheffield - Old Junior School , Sharrow. IAF Regional Director facilitated a drama workshop and days training with people seeking asylum and refugees regarding presentation skills and public speaking. The session built confidence, analysed presentation techniques and encouraged participants to explore new ways of sharing their own stories
